02/23/2018 – CLARE ANTHONY Fantastic!!! Hal walked the site with the insurance adjuster which really helped me get a very comprehensive claim! The work was done professionally and within schedule and on budget. Any issues that arose were handled quickly and completely with with NO PUSH BACK AT ALL! Hal approached any questions about the job that I had with an open mind and either made the changes that I requested or spent the time to show me why something had to be executed in a certain manner. Hal appreciated my military veteran status and treated my family and me with incredible respect! Hal's crews ensured that the job site was left clean every night and did a wonderful job on the final cleanup when the job was complete! The owner, Hal Knapp, provided me with addresses of houses his company had put siding on, including one in the exact color and design I was interested in. Checked all 4 references provided and found the work to be exceptional. Decided to go with Mr. Knapp. I'm glad I did. From the start, Hal was definitely on top of my project. He helped interface with my insurance company and secured me larger payment amounts for several areas the insurance company needed to increase. His knowledge of the business and the insurance claims procedure enabled me to get a much larger payment from the insurance company. He always had material needed on site and ready to go when needed. And a word about his work crew. The guys on the crew arrived every day an hour early. They worked straight through, skipping breaks, took short lunches, worked until dusk every day. Talk about old-time pride and workmanship! They never left a mess at the end of the day, no trash in the yard, no radio blasting loud music, no cigarette butts. I was present for each day and checked at the end of the day for any problems. There weren't any! These guys did it right the first time. They even found a construction flaw from when the house was originally built and corrected it without missing a beat. Hal was on hand every day, making sure material was ready, checking for little things like fasteners, caulk, etc. Everyone seemed to be on top of the job. I have seen many work crews in the neighborhood over the years, but I have never seen a crew this good or a job run this well. I'm very glad I found Freedom Midwest Windows and Siding, LLC. Excellent Job. Hal spent over two hours with us explaining what he would do and suggesting ideas that really brought the house together in the end. His prices were so competitive with the advertised companies that we were able to upgrade to a higher quality product. His subcontractors were professional and very good at what they do. Hal was over to our house as soon as the last worker left and was inspecting the work. Noticing a couple of things not quite right after the siding went up he had already contacted the sub and had them come over and finish the project. Afterwards I noticed an outside outlet was not working and Hal had an electrician over to our house within two hours to fix it. Hal is on top of it. He knows what he is doing and takes pride in a job well done and will see the job through till all involved are satisfied. He was prompt in all correspondence, a professional in conduct and a pleasure to have met. Thanks Hal

Description of work:
We needed old cedar siding removed and required all new siding, soffits, gutters, shutters, 2 new windows, 1 patio door, and back garage door. Our home is a 2-story with only half brick on the front, so this required a lot of removal and replacement.

It went great. It couldn't have gone better. Working with Hal/Freedom Midwest was a wonderful experience. Hal is honest and extremely professional. He truly cares about his customers and it shows in the finished product. Heading into the project, I had heard multiple horror stories regarding unreliable and dishonest siding/roofing companies. I was afraid to trust anyone. Hal proved to be the exact opposite. Hal was so laid back, he moved at my pace, wasn't pushy, and made sure I was comfortable with every decision along the way. Now that the project is over, I consider Hal a friend and look forward to working with him in the future.
